The Hope Murals Project @ ASCO – Chicago, IL
In recognition of National Cancer Survivors Day on June 1, thousands of oncology professionals showcased their artistic skills at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) 50th Annual Meeting in Chicago, where the second Hope Mural was painted. With each brush stroke, the true spirit of the day was brought to life by creating, in partnership with Gilda’s Club and the American Cancer Society, a mural that is a permanent tribute to a caregiver’s perspective of her sister’s journey with lung cancer. The journey in Chicago continues later this year when the mural will be installed in a public spot.
Lilly Oncology On Canvas, now in its 10th year, represents the artistic expression of the journeys people face when confronted with cancer. To commemorate this milestone, Lilly Oncology presents The Hope Murals Project, a mission to bring 10 murals based on the inspirational art from past competitions to 10 cities across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
