Dr. Sapna Patel of MD Anderson Cancer Center talks to us about the biggest news out of the American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting (ASCO) focused on the registration phase III trial, looking at OPDIVO (nivolumab) with Yervoy (Ipilimumab) alone or in combination. Dr. Patel discusses the results of the study and what it all means for patients and their families. She stresses that although we’re still riding the wave of immunotherapy success with exciting research on the horizon, it’s up to the patients’ healthcare team to decide who benefits. Dr. Patel shares some of the clues shared at the meeting that suggests who the right candidates are for mono vs. combo therapies.
