The Process of Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is a treatment option that is used to support the immune system in trying to counter the body against bad cancer cells. Dr. Sapna Patel, Dr. Michael Wong and Dr. Mark Gimbel walk us through the process of how immunotherapy works systemically to recognize bad cells and kill off the cancer. This type of therapy powers up the immune system to help the body overcome the cancer in the body. Immunotherapy helps build the body up when it can no longer fight for itself. Dr. Patel says to look at immunotherapy as putting medicine into the body.
