Professor John Weinman is Professor of Psychology as Applied to Medicines at Kings College London and Head of Health Psychology, Atlantis Healthcare (Europe). He is recognised as one of the founders of modern health psychology and his main research areas are cognition and health, communication and decision-making in healthcare, and self-regulation and self-management in chronic illness.
