Bahija Jallal speaks at UN Women and Girl’s in Science Day 2017 Bahija Jallal, representing AstraZeneca & MedImmune and the Association for Woman in Science was a featured speaker at the second annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Organized by the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) and the Ministry of Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties of Malta, this year's conference focused on "Gender, Science and Sustainable Development: The Impact of Media." Bahija spoke about providing strong role models from the science community to encourage young girls and women to undertake roles in STEM fields.
