Another Shot: Not For the Faint of Heart

Normally, I get a shot of a medicine called Neulasta in the days following my AC chemo infusions. But with my blood levels taking a nose dive, I needed another boost to help increase the production of my white blood cells and give me a little more energy. This time, I got Neupogen, a drug similar to Neulasta. They both help boost white blood cells, which is important since they are the ones to help the body fight infection.
