Amgen Scholars Spotlight: What Cassandra Baker Loves About Science

Six Amgen Scholars share what they love about science while attending the 2017 U.S. symposium at the Amgen headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California. This video features Amgen Scholar Cassandra Baker from the University of Houston who participated in the program at Washington University in St Louis.
Since 2006, the Amgen Scholars Program has provided hands-on research opportunities under world-renowned faculty mentors to over 3,500 undergraduate students. Ninety-four percent of the program’s alumni who have completed their bachelor’s degree are currently pursuing an advanced degree or career in a scientific field.
