The Promise of Precision Medicine
https://www.cancercenter.com/ When Christine Bray’s metastatic ovarian cancer didn’t respond to conventional treatments, her doctors at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) tried something unconventional. A genomic sequencing test by Foundation Medicine identified two mutations in Bray’s tumor that were targeted with a drug not typically used to treat ovarian cancer. Now Bray is in remission, and researchers are using what they learned from her case to help other cancer patients with the same tumor mutations. Watch the video to learn more about the promise of precision medicine, and learn more about how CTCA practices precision medicine at https://www.cancercenter.com/ctca-difference/precision-cancer-treatment/.
