Bladder cancer is a type of cancer beginning from the in which malignant (cancer) cells form epithelial lining
(i.e., the urothelium) of the urinary bladder — a balloon-shaped organ in your pelvic area (lower abdomen) that
stores urine. Bladder cancer is where a growth of abnormal tissue, known as a tumour, develops in the bladder
lining.
Bladder cancer occurs in the lining of the bladder.Sometimes, the tumour spreads into the surrounding muscles.
Not often the bladder is involved by non-epithelial cancers, such as lymphoma or sarcoma, but these are not
ordinarily says that bladder cancer. It is a disease in which abnormal cells multiply without control in the
bladder.
Early sign and Symptoms of Bladder Cancer
The great majority of bladder cancers are diagnosed at an early stage — when bladder cancer is highly treatable.
The most common symptom of bladder cancer is blood in your urine, , which is usually painless. This blood in the
urine may be visible to the naked eye (gross/macroscopic hematuria) or detectable only by microscope
(microscopic hematuria).
